Xtool X100 Pad3 add spare keys for Renault Duster (Dacia) 2014-

 

Today, xtool.co.uk is gonna make a key (not smart key) for 2017 Renault Duster (Dacia) with XTOOL X100 PAD3 (X100 PAD Elite) via OBD.
 
We need to prepare the following devices for Duster (Dacia):
Car: 2017 Renault Duster (Dacia)
One original car key (working key)
One new blank key want to be programmed
Device: XTOOL X100 PAD3 Auto Key Programmer



Operation guide:
After connecting X100 PAD3 to the vehicle via main cable, enter “Diagnosis” function
Select “Immobilization”-> “BRAZIL RENAULT”
Agree with the disclaimer 
There are two main functions can be performed: Read Pincode and Program keys

Step 1: Read Pincode
Select “32 pincode”

Turn ignition off and take the original key out from the ignition
Turn Hazard lights on
Vehicle data file is found, click “YES” to use the file to get the PIN directly.


Step 2: Program keys
Select “Duster (Dacia)”-> “Without smart” -> “14- ”


Switch ignition on
Enter the 32-digit PIN automatically and confirm if it’s correct


Switch ignition off and remove the key
Insert the working key and switch ignition on
Program successfully, then go to program the new key
Remove the original key from the ignition and insert the new key, switch ignition on
Program the key successfully

Switch ignition off and wait for 5 seconds and switch ignition on
Now the number of keys in memory is 2.

Key programming is done.

Finally, use the original key and new key programmed to start the car, both work!

Part 2: How to add Mercedes-Benz Infrared Key by X100 PAD3?

Tools need:

XTOOL X100 PAD Elite

XTOOL KC501 Key & Chip Key Programmer

One original car key+ one blank key

Mode: Via OBD





Main operation guide:

Step 1: Read EIS info

Step 2: Get password from the programmed car key

Step 3: Generate the key file



Step 1: Read EIS info

Connect X100 Pad3 tablet with WiFi firstly

Enter main menu, select [Immobilization] -> [BENZ]-> Agree with the disclaimer-> select [Infrared key system] -> [Add Key]



Read the on-screen instruction of [Add key]

Make sure the network connection is ok and press “Ok” to continue

Then operate as below:

-Connect KC501 to XTOOL X100 Elite



-Insert the original car key into the EIS



-Wait for 5 seconds, and then remove the original car key from the EIS

Click on “OK” on the screen

Select the communication method with EIS, and press “OK” to continue

Select [Read via OBD] -> [Automatic Identify]


 

Read out the EIS info and press “Next”




Step 2: Get password from the programmed car key

Follow the prompt to insert the same original car key into the lock

Wait for 5 seconds, and then remove the original car key from the lock

Press “OK” to continue

Follow the steps below to operate:

The original car key has passed the verification, and the original car key data will be collected soon. Note that after the data collection is completed, the original car key needs to be inserted into the lock and wait for 30 seconds, and then the car can be started normally after inserting and removing the key several times.

Insert the same original car key into the infrared key jack of KC501



Press “OK” on the screen to collect data…

Wait for about 5-15 minutes until the collection data is successful.

Insert the programmed key into EIS (without turning on the ignition switch)

Wait for 30 seconds, put it out and reinsert it

The programmed key may need to be plugged and unplugged many times to start the car normally.

Press “OK” to obtain the password and press “OK”




Step 3: Generate the key file

Choose one key location to be generated (select any one unused key)

Press “OK”



Insert a new key into KC501 infrared key slot, and press “OK”

Key file has been written into the new key and press “OK”



Finally, test the programmed key and original key to check if both of them can start normally and the remote is ok.
