How to use XTOOL A80 Pro add smart key for Honda City

 XTOOL A80 Pro
One original Honda City key
One new key need to be programmed


How to add new smart key?
Connect XTOOL VCI to the vehicle via main cable and connect to A80 Pro via Bluetooth
Enter “Diagnosis” function
Select “Immobilization” -> agree with the disclaimer

Select Honda-> Smart key system-> Type 3 (button)-> Add smart key

Then double click start button to confirm if the ignition can be switched on
It can turn on normally, so click “Yes” to continue


Follow the on- screen instructions to do as below:

• Take all smart keys (working key and blank key) out of the car
• Put 1 programmed smart key in the car

• Take smart key (original key) out of the car
• Put new smart key into the car

• Switch ignition on within 15 sec, and then switch ignition off
• Switch ignition on within 15 sec again
• After that, check if the security indicator light is extinguished. If it is, click “Yes”, then switch ignition off and switch ignition on within 15 sec again

Finally, when the smart key is programmed successfully, test whether the two car keys can use or not.

The default language is English. If you want to add more languages, please follow the steps as below to do.

Step 1: Offer the serial number of your XTOOL tablet and language you desire to our customer service

Step 2: Once the language has been changed, you can switch the language to you need

• Open “X100 PAD2” APP-> enter “Settings” function-> select “Language”-> tick the required option from the multi-language options on the right

Step 3: Enter “Update” function to download all software you need

Xtool X100 Pad2 Pro Add New Key to Audi A6 ID8E in 3 Steps

How to add an ignition key to Audi A6 ID8E by XTOOL X100 PAD2 Pro auto key programmer with the original key? Check the step-by-step guide as below.

Main steps:

• Step 1: Get PIN/CS
• Step 2: Make dealer key
• Step 3: Learn keys

The operation procedure:
Connect X100 PAD2 Pro key programmer to Audi A6 ID8E car via the main cable directly, and connect to KC100 adapter via USB cable
Select Immobilization-> Audi-> 4th/5th immobilizer system

Turn the ignition switch on
Select 4th immobilizer system-> Q7 A6L_C6 (Recommend)-> Chip Type 9S12DT256 (after 2009)

Step-by-step guide to add new key:

1.Connect X100 PAD2 key programmer to the vehicle via the main cable directly

2.Select Immobilization-> HONDA-> immobiliser-> Auto-> 16PIN

 

3.Turn the ignition switch on

Here is some real users’ feedback: Feedback 1: I have an Xtool 401, can’t comment on the others. Works well, picks up all the same codes that VCDS does, will clear the codes and do the Service/Oil resets. It is capable of some coding/adaptation, but it’s pretty clunky in operation so it’s a slow process. I view the 401 as an emergency tool that can be left in the car. It doesn't require batteries, a laptop, cell phone or internet access to use and it can be had fairly cheap.   Say you find yourself on the road and your car goes into 'limp-mode'. You have an easy way to check codes and /or reset the problem then and there. Maybe help you get back home without drama.   Now if you plan on doing a lot of tweaks / adaptations, I think VCDS or OBDEleven are better choices. Ideally, you'd have both. An Xtool for the car, and some iteration of VagCom for the garage.   The Xtool can do any adaptions that VCDS can do, but there are no pre-programmed routines. You basically need to use RossTech's website to figure out what you want coded, what bits need changing and then enter that data manually.
